Colla-graph

First, I choose what design I wanted to do my puzzle pieces with. Then after deciding, I choose my materials, cloth, cardboard, aluminum foil, and paper then I…
Cut out puzzle pieces in the material
Glued them to the board I painted black
Put gloss on them
5. Painted the puzzle pieces
6. Used a soaked paper to print on
7. Put it through the press
8. Waaalllllaaahhh!!!!!!!!

My inspiration for my colla-graph print was my little brother.  My little brother was diagnosed with autism when he was four years old, today he is seven. My art is based on the autism awareness symbol. Autism awareness month is April and the official World Autism Awareness Day in 2018, is April 2nd. Autism had made an enormous impact on my life and I wanted to express that through my artwork. Autism is both a blessing and a curse. I consider it a blessing because I can't imagine my little brother being any different, he is an amazing person that find the most simple things fascinating and can always make you laugh. though I also consider it a curse because he never had that milestone my other brothers had. he's not able to communicate with my family like he should and he cants express himself. if I could change anything about my art I would make the outline cleaner, and make the connecting pieces of the puzzle pieces more defined.
