My inspirations was my love for Butterflies. When I was little my grandpa used to tell me a story about how butterflies carry the souls of the loved ones that have passed on, and the colors of the butterfly were they colors of that persons soul. Ever since I have always loved butterflies. I would change the cleanliness.
These cards can be given to family,friend, for Valentines Day or birthdays.
The first thing I had to find was the perfect butterfly to sketch, after going through dozens of ideas I finally decided to go a more symbolic approach rather then a realistic one. After finding the perfect one I
1. Sketched it
2. Outlined it with sharpie
3. Covered the back with lead
4. Went over the lines, which transferred it
5. Started carving
